The race for the 2020-21 scoring title came down to a race between Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal and Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry.
Heading into Sunday’s NBA slate, Curry held the advantage, averaging 31.8 points per game with Beal tallying 31.4.
Following Beal’s 25 point performance on 8-of-27 shooting from the field against the Charlotte Hornets to close the season, Curry needed just four points against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday to become the scoring champ.
Despite missing his first four shots, the two-time Most Valuable Player got back on track with back-to-back buckets. With a running floater in the first quarter, Curry secured the 2020-21 scoring title.
