Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry was among those in attendance on Wednesday to watch Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and the Santa Cruz Warriors host the NBA G League Ignite.
The Warriors announced prior to the contest that Kuminga and Moody would play with Santa Cruz. The team played its game from the Chase Center in San Francisco, instead of Santa Cruz, which made it easy for Curry to catch his teammates in action.
Curry was on hand to watch Kuminga and Moody perform well.
Kuminga finished with 16 points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots in 30 minutes of work. He went 4-of-5 from the field, while he made both of his 3-point attempts. The contest was the first in which Kuminga saw extended minutes after dealing with a knee injury.
Meanwhile, Moody also had 16 points, his second game with Santa Cruz. He was less efficient than Kuminga, shooting 5-of-12 from the field, including 2-of-5 from 3-point range. He also added seven rebounds, three blocked shots, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes.
They were each recalled to Golden State after the game and will be available to play versus the Charlotte Hornets.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr this week said Kuminga and Moody would likely play multiple games throughout the season with Santa Cruz. The arrangement made perfect sense on Wednesday with the contest against the Ignite taking place at the Chase Center.
Here is some film from Jonathan Kuminga’s game against the Ignite today. Highs and lows. Very willing passer, turnover prone, foul magnet when he gets downhill.

The two players will likely have a tough time cracking the Warriors’ rotation so they will shuttle back and forth between Santa Cruz and Golden State. They have impressed during their short time with the team and project to be a big part of the future with the Warriors.
