Warriors’ Steph Curry reacts to Lionel Messi signing with Paris Saint Germain

After Lionel Messi signed with Paris Saint Germain and picked No. 30 with his new club, Golden State’s No. 30 chimed in on Twitter.

While most of the basketball world had eyes on NBA free agency and the summer league in Las Vegas, the soccer community was heating up around the current transfer window. While different footballers made moves across Europe, one player’s transfer sent a shock around the world of sports.

After 16 seasons with the legendary Spanish club Barcelona FC, Lionel Messi signed a two-year contract with Paris Saint Germain in the French Ligue 1.

Along with his move to France, Messi’s new jersey number caught the eye of the Golden State Warriors point guard. After Messi landed No. 30 with PSG, Steph Curry chimed in on Twitter. The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player shared a pair of pictures on social media along with a message for Messi.

For the 2021-22 campaign, Messi will suit up alongside fellow world-class players Neymar and Kylian Mbappe on the pitch at the Parc Des Princes.
