As the NBA progresses towards the end of the playoffs in the Orlando Bubble, another sports league is celebrating the start of a new season. Sunday marked the beginning of the first week of the 2020-21 NFL campaign.
Before the San Francisco 49ers kicked off their season against the Arizona Cardinals, their Bay Area night shared a message of support on social media. In a tweet, the Golden State Warriors shared two pictures with 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s signature “feels great, baby” quote.
The Warriors posted a pair of photos that included Warriors point guard Jordan Poole wearing a Garoppolo jersey and San Francisco’s All-Pro tight end George Kittle wearing his own No. 85 Warriors kit.

However, the excitement from the start of football season fizzled after the 49ers fell against the Arizona Cardinals in Santa Clara. Garoppolo’s 259 yards and two touchdowns on 19-of-33 passing wasn’t enough to slow down Arizona’s former No. 1 draft pick.
Behind Kyler Murray’s 230 passing yards, 91 rushing yards and two touchdowns, the Cardinals were able to complete an upset victory against the reigning NFC champions.
The 49ers will have a chance at recording their first victory next week in the Big Apple against the New York Jets.
