Warriors scheduled for flurry of nationally televised games during 2021-22 season

During the upcoming 2021-22 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors will be featured in a flurry of nationally televised games.

Many eyes will be on the Golden State Warriors while they attempt to make a run back to the playoffs for the first time in two seasons.

With the 2021-22 NBA season schedule released, Steph Curry and the Warriors will be one of the heavily featured teams for the league’s nationally televised game slate.

Despite finishing the 2020-21 season with back-to-back losses in the Western Conference play-in tournament, the Warriors will headline 29 nationally televised games on TNT, ABC and ESPN. Golden State will also receive 12 games broadcasted on NBA TV.

Throughout the 2021-22 campaign, the Warriors are scheduled for 41 games on national television, second to only LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (42). Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets trail the Warriors and the Lakers with 37 primetime games. The defending champion Milwaukee Bucks have 36 nationally televised games. The Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics round out the top five with 33 games on national television.

The Warriors will start the 2021-22 schedule with a primetime contest on the NBA’s opening night against James, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony and the new-look Lakers on Oct. 19 at Staples Center.

Golden State’s home opener at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Oct. 22 against the Los Angeles Clippers will also be featured on national television.
