Warriors rookie Jonathan Kuminga draws start in Game 3 vs. Grizzlies

With Gary Payton II sidelined due to injury, Steve Kerr opted to start rookie Jonathan Kuminga in Game 3 on Saturday against the Grizzlies.

Throughout the postseason, the Golden State Warriors have shuffled through different starting lineups. Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II have each drawn starts for Steve Kerr in the first two rounds of the postseason.

With Payton II sidelined due to injury, the Warriors will feature a new player in their starting lineup on Saturday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Rookie Jonathan Kuminga will start alongside Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green.

During the postseason, Kuminga is averaging 4.8 points on 55.6% shooting from the floor with 1.8 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game. Kuminga will likely see an increase in playing time on Saturday night in the starting lineup.

Game 3 is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. PT on Saturday night at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
