Warriors recall rookie Jordan Poole from the G League after 3 games

Poole appeared in three games in the G League, averaging 26 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 35 minutes per game.

The Golden State Warriors announced on Saturday afternoon that they have recalled rookie guard Jordan Poole from the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League.

Poole is expected to be available to play Saturday night against the Detroit Pistons.

The first-round pick appeared in three games in the G League, averaging 26 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 steals in 35 minutes per game. He shot 46.3% from the field, including 42.3% from 3-point range.

Prior to his assignment, Poole struggled with his shot in the NBA with Golden State. Poole shot just 11% (4-of-38) from the field in nine December games and 13% (3-of-24) from beyond the arc.

The Warriors sent Poole down to the G League in hopes to regain his confidence. He has been a streaky shooter so far this season and his time with Santa Cruz could be what is needed to get back on track.

Poole is averaging 7.1 points, two rebounds and 1.8 assists in 29 games.
