Golden State Warriors rookie Moses Moody on Monday tied a season-high with 37 points on assignment in the NBA G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Moody went 13-of-23 from the field, including 4-of-11 from 3-point range, in 36 minutes of work in the 132-130 overtime victory over the Memphis Hustle. He also added three rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot on the road.
The Warriors assigned Moody, along with Jonathan Kuminga, to Santa Cruz on Monday in order to get additional playing time. Kuminga finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists before fouling out in 30 minutes of action.
With Golden State in Memphis on Tuesday, the team recalled both players.

The contest on Monday marked the seventh of the season for Moody with Santa Cruz. With his latest 37-point outburst, Moody is now averaging 26.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 1.1 assists and one blocked shot on 46% shooting from the field.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has said throughout the season the team will continue to utilize Moody and Kuminga in the G League whenever possible. The organization views Santa Cruz as a great way to get them game reps when playing time is at a premium with Golden State.
The two rookies represent a big part of the future in the Bay and they each have impressed during various stretches this season when called upon.
