Recently, the Golden State Warriors hit the road to watch several prospects workout ahead of the NBA draft and the organization reportedly liked what they saw from Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman, according to Marcus Thompson of The Athletic.
The Warriors also watched Deni Avdija work out on the road trip but it was Edwards and Wiseman that left owner Joe Lacob, general manager Bob Myers and head coach Steve Kerr most impressed. Edwards and Wiseman were both “beasts” in their workouts, according to the report.
Wiseman stood out on the court and during the Warriors’ interview with him afterward while Edwards’ athleticism was on full display during his workout. The performances have Edwards and Wiseman likely atop the Warriors’ draft board if they decide to keep the second overall pick.
