After returning from their five-game road swing, the Golden State Warriors returned to Chase Center to host the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. Despite securing a much-needed win to snap their five-game losing streak, the Warriors were still missing a piece off the bench against the Kings.
Due to a hamstring injury, Donte DiVincenzo missed his eighth consecutive game. With the Warriors getting three days off before hosting the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, DiVincenzo could be nearing a return to the court.
On Wednesday, DiVincenzo practiced and scrimmaged with the Warriors. DiVincenzo also practiced on Sunday before Golden State’s game on Monday against the Kings. If DiVincenzo is cleared by the medical staff, he will return to the lineup on Friday against the Cavs, according to Steve Kerr.

Warriors guard Donte DiVincenzo scrimmaged today. Steve Kerr says as long as he’s cleared by the medical staff tomorrow, he’ll return to the lineup on Friday against Cleveland.

If DiVincenzo is cleared to return, he will provide a spark to a bench unit that has struggled to produce and find a rhythm since his injury on Oct. 23 in the third game of the season.
During his first three games with the Warriors, DiVincenzo averaged five points on 45.5% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from beyond the arc, with an assist in 14 minutes per game.
