With four core starters receiving a rest day against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, rookies Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins got the chance to come off the bench for the Golden State Warriors.
Rollins tallied seven points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field in a season-high nine minutes against the Pelicans. Baldwin Jr. played in his second game since being drafted No. 28 overall in the 2022 NBA draft. Baldwin Jr. went scoreless on 0-for-1 shooting from the floor in four minutes off the bench.
After cameos against the Pelicans, the pair of rookies are set to travel to Santa Cruz. On Sunday, the Warriors assigned Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins to their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz.

Riding a five-game losing streak, the Warriors are set to meet the Sacramento Kings on Monday at Chase Center. After hosting the Kings, the Warriors will get three days off before playing the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.
Baldwin Jr. and Rollins will likely get the chance to make their G League debuts during the start of Santa Cruz’s back-to-back on Wednesday against the Oklahoma City Blue. Santa Cruz is set to play a pair of games against Oklahoma City on Wednesday and Thursday.
