Warriors assign Moses Moody to G League Santa Cruz

The second-year guard will join the G League Warriors in Santa Cruz.

Following their impressive win against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night at San Francisco’s Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors are making a few changes to the roster. 

On Thursday, the team announced Moses Moody has been assigned to the G League Warriors in Santa Cruz. Rookies Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins will join Moody in the G League.

According to Steve Kerr, Moody will get at least two games in Santa Cruz with the G League Warriors. Santa Cruz is slated to play a pair of games on Friday and Sunday against the South Bay Lakers in Southern California. Moody is expected back with Golden State ahead of Monday’s road game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Moody has played sparingly over the last month. The Arkansas product has only surpassed 15 minutes of action in two games over Golden State’s last 14 contests. Moody has been a DNP-CD in four of the team’s last eight games. 

During his sophomore campaign with the Warriors, Moody is averaging 5.2 points on 45.2% shooting from the field with 1.7 rebounds in 14.8 minutes per contest.
