Vols to play at Vanderbilt Tuesday

Vols to play Commodores Tuesday after game at South Carolina postponed.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced a change in the University of Tennessee men’s basketball team’s schedule.

The No. 9 Volunteers were scheduled to play at South Carolina Tuesday.

Vanderbilt was slated to play at Missouri on the same night, however, both of those contests were postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, including positive tests and contact tracing.

The Vols (9-1, 3-1 SEC) and Commodores (4-6, 0-3) will now play Tuesday night at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville.

Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. EST and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The Volunteers and Vanderbilt will also play on Jan. 16 as the Commodores will make a trip to Knoxville and Thompson-Boling Arena.

Tipoff for the second of back-to-back games is slated for 6 p.m. EST and the contest will air on SEC Network.

The Tennessee-South Carolina game has yet to be rescheduled, but the Vols are now idle on Feb. 24, the original home date against Vanderbilt.
