A University of Tennessee baseball signee has returned to his high school team’s lineup after missing several games due to injury.
Farragut High School shortstop Angus Pence, who was injured in the Admirals’, 13-12, District 4-AAA loss to rival Hardin Valley Academy on April 6, had a big game Wednesday. Farragut notched a 7-6 victory over William Blount.
Pence went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored in the Admirals’ hard-fought victory over the Governors.
The future Vol made his return Tuesday night as Farragut (25-2, 10-1 District 4-AAA) defeated Lenoir City, 8-2, at John Heatherly Field.
Pence pitched two innings of relief against the Panthers. He allowed two runs, four hits, one walk and recorded four strikeouts.
