Vols’ signee Angus Pence provides offensive production in Demarini Tournament.

A University of Tennessee baseball signee had a big day for his high school team on Saturday.

Farragut High School senior shortstop Angus Pence appeared in two games for the Class AAA defending state champion Admirals and clubbed a home run in each contest.

Pence hit a two-run homer in Farragut’s, 6-2, win over 2019 Class AAA state finalist Mt. Juliet Saturday in Farragut.

Pence also homered in the Admirals’, 12-2, victory over Rossford (OH). The contest was played earlier in the day, part of Farragut’s annual Demarini Tournament.

The Admirals are now 13-0 on the season and sit atop the Tennessee high school baseball rankings.

Pence also had two hits and scored twice during a tournament game against 2019 state qualifier Science Hill in a Demarini Tournament game on Friday.
