KNOXVILLE — After a short weather delay, things didn’t start well for Tennessee against Vanderbilt Saturday afternoon.

The Commodores jumped to a 3-0 lead after Jarrett Guaratano threw an interception deep in Vols’ territory.

Offensively, the Big Orange struggled but the Tennessee defense kept Vanderbilt at bay long enough for the offense to finally start clicking.

Guarantano, who started 0-for-7 with an interception, threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Dominick Wood-Anderson.

Eric Gray had long touchdown scampers of 56 and 94 yards respectively and Tennessee, which is attempting to end a three-game losing streak to the Commodores, has a 21-3 lead at halftime.

Gray, a freshman, has 183 yards and two touchdown scampers on 12 carries.

Guarantano is 3-for-11 for 26 yards and a touchdown. He also has an interception and has rushed for 10 yards on one carry.
