KNOXVILLE — Tennessee (2-3, 2-3 SEC) will travel to Arkansas (2-3, 2-3 SEC) Saturday.

Ahead of the matchup, Jeremy Pruitt discussed the status of junior offensive lineman Jerome Carvin who has been suffering from turf toe.

“Jerome has been battling this turf toe for a while,” Pruitt said of the health of Carvin. “Last week we kept him out the entire week. Having Tuesday off was probably good for him again, so it’s the healthiest he’s looked since the Missouri game, so that’s a promising sign for him for the next couple of weeks.

“Hopefully, we can keep him healthy and he can get back to playing, cause he’s a guy we feel like can play at a high level when he’s healthy.”

Carvin has started two games this season at right guard for Tennessee.
