Vols’ football search: Coaches with both head coaching experience and ties to Tennessee

Marcus Satterfield — South Carolina offensive coordinator

Satterfield served as Tennessee Tech’s head coach from 2016-17, compiling a 6-16 record.

He is from Greenback, Tennessee and was a wide receiver and punter at East Tennessee State (1995-98).

Satterfield was a graduate assistant at Chattanooga from 1999-2000 and served as the Mocs’ wide receivers coach in 2001.

He then was a graduate assistant from 2002-03 with the Vols.

Satterfield served as offensive coordinator at UT Martin from 2006-07 and passing game coordinator in 2008.

He was offensive coordinator at Chattanooga from 2009-12.
