VESTAVIA HILLS — The University of Tennessee men’s golf team closed out the fall portion of its schedule Tuesday with the conclusion of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate in Alabama.

Tennessee finished the final round of a three-day event by shooting 3-under. UT finished the tournament with a final team score of 11-under 829.

During the fall season, UT competed in tournaments featuring all 14 Southeastern Conference teams. The Vols finished the fall season with a record of 31-7-1, the second best mark in the SEC.

Hunter Wolcott posted Tennessee’s top individual score with a 5-under 205 and finished tied for 10th.

Rhys Nevin tied for 12th with a score of 206. Knoxville product and Halls High School graduate Jake Hall had a 208. Spencer Cross carded a 216 and Bryce Lewis posted a 217.

Auburn, Georgia and Vanderbilt finished in a three-way tie for first place. Each team posted a team score of 821. UT was fourth (829). Ole Miss was fifth (834), followed by Arkansas (837), South Carolina (838), Texas A&M (841), Mississippi State (842), Florida (846), Missouri (850), Alabama (851), LSU (865) and Kentucky (866).
