The top-ranked Tennessee men’s tennis team remains undefeated following a home victory Tuesday against No. 10 Wake Forest.
After conceding a doubles point, No. 1 Tennessee rallied for a 4-3 win. The match was the Demon Deacons’ first loss of the 2022 spring dual season.
Wake Forest (7-1) claimed a doubles point by winning two out of three matches.
The Vols’ lone doubles victory came when Emile Hudd and Shunsuke Mitsui defeated Eduardo Nava and Jurabek Karimov, 6-1.
In singles competition, Tennessee’s Adam Walton, the No. 39 player in the country, defeated Nava, 6-3, 6-1.
Sophomore Johannus Monday, ranked No. 10, defeated Karimov, 6-1, 6-1.
Hudd and Mitsui also captured singles wins for the Vols (4-0).
