Tennessee safety target Doneiko Slaughter announced his decommitment from Arizona State on Friday, opening the door for a possible commitment to UT.
After talking with my family. I would like to announce my de-commitment from Arizona State University. I sincerely thank all of the coaches at ASU for recruiting me, especially coach White. Please respect my decision. 🙏

Slaughter’s decommitment comes just three days after his official visit to Tennessee, and the prospect out of Roswell, Ga. currently holds offers from Miami, Mississippi State, Boise State, UCF and others.
Rated a three-star prospect by the 247 Sports Composite, Slaughter is listed as the No. 51 safety prospect in the country.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Class of 2020 safety racked up 75 tackles and five interceptions during his senior season with Roswell High School.
This comes less than a week before the start of the Early Signing Period, which takes place from Dec. 18-20. National Signing Day will be Feb. 5, when college football programs across the country will wrap up their 2020 recruiting classes.
