COOKEVILLE — Tee Hodge closed out his high school football career on top.

Hodge, a Maryville High School running back and University of Tennessee commitment,  helped the Rebels notch a 42-21 victory over Ravenwood in the Class 6A State Championship Game Saturday night at Tennessee Tech’s Tucker Stadium.

He rushed for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Raptors (13-2), while carrying the ball 17 times. His scoring runs covered 1 and 26 yards respectively.

The victory gave Maryville another state championship and helped the Rebels complete a perfect 15-0 campaign in 2019.

Hodge finished his senior season in Blount County with 1,006 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns as he carried the ball 143 times.

He had a stellar season despite missing three full games and half of another one with turf toe.
