Tennessee baseball comes from behind to win series against Mississippi State.

No. 16 Tennessee (29-14, 10-10 SEC) defeated Mississippi State (24-19, 6-14 SEC), 12-8, Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

Tennessee clinched a series win against the Bulldogs.

Tennessee trailed, 7-2, in the fifth inning before scoring four runs to pull to within one, 7-6. Jared Dickey hit a two-run home run and Griffin Merritt recorded an RBI single. Blake Burke scored on an error after Christian Moore doubled.

The Bulldogs led, 8-6, in the sixth inning before Tennessee scored six unanswered runs and earned the win for a sixth consecutive victory.

Burke, Moore and Zane Denton hit home runs for the Vols.

Camden Sewell (3-0) pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless relief. He allowed two walks and recorded seven strikeouts.
