Quarterback: D+
We give the quarterback a D+ in this game due to the fact that both of his turnovers led to 13 Alabama points, and ultimately the loss on Saturday night. The defense was put in a tough situation and the Tide took advantage of two short fields for consecutive touchdown drives of less than 60 yards.
Johnson completed just 50% of his passes and was missing receivers all night long. When facing any sort of pressure from Alabama, Johnson didn’t complete a single pass.
Running Offense: A-
Ty Davis-Price was up to the challenge of running against the Alabama defense. He tallied 4.5 yards per attempt and set up the offense in the red zone for another attempt that was all for not. TDP was called upon several times when it came to fourth down plays, they would convert more than they would fail.
The only thing keeping the running game from an A+ was getting into the end zone but you can’t discount their effort in this game.
