Virginia Cavaliers guard Trey Murphy on Monday told Jonathan Givony of ESPN that he will sign with an agent and forgo his remaining collegiate eligibility.
Murphy was named to the All-ACC Academic Team after averaging 11.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25 games last season. He shot 50.3% from the field and 43.3% from 3-point range, ranking seventh among all ACC players in 3-pointers made (2.1) per game.
The 6-foot-9 guard announced on April 13 that he would test the NBA waters following a strong junior season. He was one of 353 prospects who filed as an early entry draft candidate and is among 69 players expected to attend the draft combine this week.

Murphy is most commonly projected to be a late first-round pick based on his showing last season. He is highly touted as a shooter and would likely be a good addition at the next level as a floor spacer while also bringing good size to the backcourt.
The NBA draft is scheduled to take place on July 29.
