Vikings rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson is going to get a huge opportunity in Minnesota.

There’s not a whole lot of competition for the WR2 spot behind Adam Thielen on the team’s depth chart after Stefon Diggs’ departure this offseason.

Even so, Jefferson was left off of a list of 10 potential Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates over at Pro Football Focus.

Receivers who are on the list include Las Vegas’ Henry Ruggs III, Jacksonville’s Laviska Shenault Jr., Dallas’ Ceedee Lamb, Denver’s Jerry Jeudy and San Francisco’s Brandon Aiyuk.

The most-likely bet here would be for a rookie quarterback, like Joe Burrow or Tua Tagovailoa, to win the award.

What can we expect from Jefferson as a rookie? Fans would probably be happy with a 50-catch, 800-yard season. That wouldn’t be enough to be in the ROY conversation, but it would help fans forget their last first-round bust in Laquon Treadwell.
