Vikings wide receiver Chad Beebe had won the wide receiver three role in 2019, before going down with an injury.
He finished the season with just three games played. He said recently that getting hurt was a tough pill to swallow after he had won out for his spot.
Now, Beebe said that he has to “prove myself all over again,” per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
He’ll try to do so as he competes for the wide receiver three role with players such as Bisi Johnson and Tajae Sharpe, K.J. Osborn, Quartney Davis and others.
Johnson took over the wide receiver three spot after Beebe was hurt in 2019. Sharpe was a free agency signing for the Vikings this offseason. Osborne and Davis are both rookies.
Minnesota offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak said recently that he will play four wide receivers and will look at them as starters, according to Tomasson. Beebe making one of those spots could be pivotal for earning playing time in 2020.
