The official swan song of the Minnesota Vikings’ 2021 season is set for Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium against the Chicago Bears. Both teams have been knocked out of playoff contention, which means this game will serve as a season-ending fight for a moral victory.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer seems to believe that’s the case as well considering the fact that he’s heading into the game with a business-as-usual approach. He’s playing all of his available starters in an effort to get the team to 8-9.
It was a defensive slugfest when these two teams last met at Soldier Field in Week 15. The Vikings were able to lean on the legs of star running back Dalvin Cook, who probably ran the hardest 89 yards he’s ever run in his life, to secure a 17-9 victory.
