The Minnesota Vikings have signed offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji off of the practice squad to the active roster. The move was reported by The Score’s Jordan Schultz.
After releasing Myles Gaskin last week, the Vikings had an open roster spot and chose to use it on more offensive line depth.
Adeniji was a fifth-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL draft. He started 22 games with the Bengals, including Super Bowl 56.
His highest graded year per Pro Football Focus was his rookie season where he had an overall grade of 51.6 with a pass-blocking grade of 53.6 and run blocking grade of 53.3.
Adeniji likely won’t be playing, but he adds a veteran presence with the ability to play multiple positions.
