Vikings rookie receiver Jordan Addison dominates Monday Night Football

Addison had a great game against the 49ers while the Vikings played without Justin Jefferson

It was not exactly a good sign for the Minnesota Vikings when their All-Pro wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, went down for multiple games with an injury. It was beginning to look like the Vikings season was all but sunk without their top weapon, but their first-round investment in receiver Jordan Addison appears to be mending that wound to at least some extent and keeping this offense afloat.

Going into Monday night the Vikings were big underdogs to the San Francisco 49ers and were expected to struggle sans Jefferson against this elite defensive unit. Someone must have failed to tell that to Jordan Addison, who completely took over the game for Minnesota and helped hand them a win against this vaunted 49ers team.

Addison managed an incredible 124 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches for the Vikings, making an impression early with a huge pluck of the ball from a 49ers defender for a 60 yard touchdown at the end of the second quarter. Cousins and Addison look to have a legitimate connection and it could be key for the Vikings to crawl back into contention for the NFC North title. If Addison can keep this up until Justin Jefferson returns, the Vikings are going to have one seriously dangerous duo that rivals the best in the league.
