Vikings RB Dalvin Cook on Stefon Diggs: ‘That’s my brother for life’

“That’s my brother for life and I’m still here with you.” Dalvin Cook told the Pioneer Press that the Stefon Diggs trade hurt.

Former Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs left behind some Minnesota teammates who cared about him.

Diggs was traded to the Bills for draft picks. After that occurred, Diggs wrote in the Players’ Tribune how Adam Thielen and Kirk Cousins reached out to him afterwards.

Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook said he also reached out, telling Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press what he said.

“[I] just told him, ‘That’s my brother for life and I’m still here with you,’’’ Cook told the Pioneer Press. “And he was the same. Vice versa.’’

Cook also said the deal hurt because Diggs and him were close.

“It hurts because you spend so much time with a guy,” Cook told the Pioneer Press. “It hurt a lot of guys in the locker room but it’s part of the business. We’ve got to accept that Diggs wanted to be happy and be happy for him as a player.’’
