The Vikings find themselves in an 0-2 hole to start the year, but that’s not unique to them of course — there are 11 teams that have started the season with two consecutive defeats.
ESPN’s Bill Barnwell ranked each of the 11 in order from worst to first.
With the expectations fans and analysts had for Minnesota at the start of the season, it makes sense that the Vikings would rank high in a power rankings of the NFL’s worst teams.
Barnwell had the Vikings as the fourth-best 0-2 team. Here’s what he said about them:
“The Vikings are now down two of their key defenders in Hunter and Anthony Barr, who is likely to miss the rest of the season with a torn pectoral muscle. The Vikings have alternated double-digit win campaigns with seasons at or around .500 for the entirety of Zimmer’s tenure; it seems like they’re heading toward that destiny again in 2020.”
Barnwell ranked the Falcons, Eagles and Texans ahead of the Vikings. Houston was the No. 1 0-2 team.
