Even when the Vikings had Stefon Diggs, things were a bit thin at wide receiver.
Now that Diggs is in Buffalo, that has intensified. While the Vikings did add Tajae Sharpe in free agency along with drafting Justin Jefferson in the first round, things behind Adam Thielen don’t look incredibly deep for this team at wideout.
Steve Palazzolo over at Pro Football Focus ranked the best wide receiver units in the league and the Vikings ranked all the way down at No. 21.
Here’s a bit of what Palazzolo wrote about the Vikings:
Even if the Vikings are going to predominantly be a two-wide receiver team, they need Jefferson to transition smoothly to the NFL along with Thielen getting back to his 2018 form in order to rank among the league’s best receiving units.
To round out the NFC North, the Lions rank seventh, the Bears rank 20th and the Packers rank 24th.
