It’s all about projections over at Pro Football Focus.
Earlier this week, PFF projected who the top quarterbacks of the 2020 season will be.
The calculation for all of this is, well, rather confusing. You can read more about how they got to where they got here.
In their rankings, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins ranks right in the middle of the pack at 16.
PFF gives Cousins a 1.2% chance to be the best quarterback in the league, an 11% chance to be in the top-5, a 27% chance to be in the top-10, a 49% chance to be in the top-16 and a 7% chance to be among the five worst.
In 2019, Cousins graded as PFF’s sixth-best quarterback.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but that’s kind of been the story of Kirk Cousins’ career.
To round out the NFC North, Aaron Rodgers ranks fourth, Matthew Stafford ranks 14th and Nick Foles ranks 27th.
