ESPN surveyed league personnel to find the top players at each position and Kirk Cousins did not crack the quarterback rankings.
Instead, he was a player who received votes. But on Touchdown Wire’s list, Cousins received more respect. He was tabbed as the No. 12 quarterback in the league. Mark Schofield of Touchdown Wire wrote:
“Still, the production and execution from Cousins has forced some to rethink their stance on him, including this author. Prior to this last season I argued that maybe Cousins is better than we — me — think. These videos dive into what Cousins does well on the field, from his awareness in the pocket to how he applies information gained earlier in the game on later downs.”
So maybe with a better defense, Cousins can win the Vikings some games and prove some more people wrong in 2021. Of course, there will always be Cousins naysayers, but a deep playoff run would certainly help his standing.
