Vikings QB Kirk Cousins listed as the team’s biggest disappointment

Do you think Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been the team’s biggest disappointment?

The Vikings have had countless failures and let-downs to start the 2020 season, but maybe none have been greater than the play at quarterback.

After a 2019 where Kirk Cousins improved and the offense ran efficiently, the Vikings quarterback has looked a lot more mistake-prone and erratic in 2020. Bleacher Report thinks he’s the Vikings’ biggest disappointment. Here’s what it said about him:

“Cousins has posted two 118-plus passer ratings, two ratings in the 90s and one epically bad 15.9 rating. And while that horrible Week 2 performance against the Colts was an outlier even for him, he’s prone to duds.

Only Carson Wentz has thrown more picks than Cousins, who is the league’s ninth-lowest-rated passer. That won’t cut it, especially considering his $33 million average annual salary.”

If the Vikings want to get back on track, the team needs the most valuable position in football to play well. The down year isn’t all on Cousins, but a potential comeback starts with him.
