At times, the Vikings ran into issues with offensive line depth in 2020. At various points, swing tackle Rashod Hill was there to fill in.
For instance, Hill played in the Buccaneers game, filling in for RT Brian O’Neill. He also played in place of LT Riley Reiff when Reiff was placed on the reserve /COVID-19 list. He ended up playing 122 offensive snaps in total this past season. He was a special teams player as well.
Now, if Minnesota has trouble again, Hill can still be an option. Hill was a free agent this offseason, but according to his agent, he is returning to Minnesota on a one-year fully guaranteed deal. His agent said that Hill had other offers elsewhere.
Hill is good depth for the offensive line. If Minnesota runs into issues with availability again, then he is a serviceable option as a reserve. With Reiff getting cut this offseason, the Vikings will need all the help they can get on the offensive line in 2021.
