There were some positive elements from the Minnesota Vikings in week one, but they ultimately lost 20-17 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for 344 yards in the game with 273 of them coming in the first half. He found Justin Jefferson for nine receptions for 150 yards in the game and they sprung him wide open early and often.
Unfortunately, that didn’t last and the Vikings offense faltered down the stretch. Only rushing for 41 yards on 17 carries was certainly a factor, but it’s not worth panicking over yet.
The grades from Pro Football Focus are in and the offense had some standout performances.
