Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski is being interviewed by the Cleveland Browns for the second-straight year for their head-coaching vacancy.
While that’s not a great sign for the Browns, it is good news for Stefanski. Stefanski was also supposed to interview with the Panthers, but they hired Matt Rhule prior to any interview.
With Stefanski’s interview with the Browns set for Thursday, he was asked during Wednesday’s availability about it. And Stefanski gave the answer you’d expect.
“I’d prefer to just keep the focus on what we’re doing at San Francisco, our players, and really not worry about any periphery right now,” Stefanski said.
It’s always a weird time of year for coordinators in these positions. While you want to give your all for your team and its next game, there’s also the pressure of preparing for the biggest job interview of your life.
It seems like Stefanski is dealing with it correctly.
