Vikings OC Gary Kubiak talks about the challenges of the Colts defense

The Indianapolis Colts gave up just 241 yards to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the loss. The Colts play the Minnesota Vikings next.

Both the Vikings and the Colts are looking for bounce-back wins against each other in Week 2.

Of course Minnesota was dispatched by Green Bay. The Colts lost to the Jaguars 27-20.

It wasn’t all bad for Indianapolis, though: the team gave up just 241 yards. Vikings offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak recently discussed the Colts defense with reporters:

“Those guys, they can run. A sideline-to-sideline football team, getting (DeForest) Buckner up front, you know Buckner and (Justin) Houston are really good players. Linebackers run really well. So we’ve got our work cut out for us. They’re very talented.”

Kubiak went on to say that Jacksonville did a nice job of protecting the ball against Indianapolis last week.

“That will be paramount for us going into this game,” Kubiak said. “Every week is a new challenge. We go from a 3-4 to a 4-3, so a lot of channels being flipped this week as we prepare for them.”
