Vikings named as potential landing spot for CB Marshon Lattimore

Bleacher Report came out with several trade ideas and one connected the Saints to the Vikings and star Marshon Lattimore.

It’s that time of year when you hear rumblings about potential trade ideas. Ryan Fowler of Bleacher Report created several trade ideas that would reshape the NFL in 2024, one of which would really help the Vikings.

Fowler has the Vikings trading away their 2025 fifth-round pick and their 2026 third-round pick to the New Orleans Saints for start cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

I’m not sure how the Saints would be remotely okay with this return after sending their great cornerback to another NFC team. Lattimore, a first-round pick in 2017, has been a Pro Bowler four times in his career and won Defensive Rookie of the Year. The Saints have given Lattimore money and view him as a cornerstone of the franchise.

However, if the Saints did this, the Vikings would make out like bandits. Lattimore would instantly become the starting corner on the outside and would help the Vikings’ secondary tremendously.

According to Fowler, the Saints are projected to be over the cap in 2025 by $88.2 million, so trading some high-end guys could be on their radar. The Vikings would be taking on a player who’s making nearly $20 million a year on average, but at 28 years old, it may be worth it for Minnesota.
