Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes got the start on Sunday against the Lions for Xavier Rhodes.
Rhodes wasn’t hurt, but he’s been playing poorly and his sideline antics last week probably didn’t help things.
While the Vikings won the game behind some solid pass coverage, the team did lose both Rhodes and Hughes to injuries. Rhodes left the game with an ankle injury while Hughes left with an oblique injury.
The game never seemed within reach for the Lions, so that could be a reason why we didn’t see Rhodes or Hughes back in the game.
After the game, Vikings coach Mike Zimmer didn’t seem particularly concerned with the injuries, but that’s also how Zimmer rolls.
We’ll get a better idea of how severe the injuries are on Wednesday when the Vikings have their first practice for the Chargers in preparation for Week 15.
