Vikings legend John Randle to announce one of Minnesota’s day two picks in the NFL draft

The Minnesota Vikings have a big-time former player announcing one of the team’s day two picks in the 2021 NFL draft.

The Vikings and other NFL teams have often let fans and legendary players announce draft picks each year.

As Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reported, Minnesota has someone pretty special making one of its announcements on day two of the NFL draft this year: John Randle, a former defensive lineman for the team.

A Hall of Fame inductee, Randle became well known across the NFL for his pass-rushing prowess. He led the league in sacks in 1997. He was a six-time first-team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowl selection.

As it stands, Randle would be announcing a selection a little later on in day two. That’s because the Vikings do not have a second-round pick. However, Minnesota has two picks in the third round — 78 and 90 overall in the draft.
