He might not be in the upcoming Pro Bowl, but Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks is a 2019 First Team All-Pro.
This tells you quite a bit how serious you should take the Pro Bowl.
It’s the first honor of such for the fifth-year linebacker and Kendricks is actually the only Viking to make either team. Safeties Anthony Harris and Harrison Smith, along with defensive end Danielle Hunter, probably have the right to complain a bit here.
Kendricks wrapped up the 2019 season with 110 combined tackles, and career highs of 12 passes defended, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Kendricks finished with a Pro Football Focus grade of 90.5, a mark that ranked first among all linebackers.
This is good news for the Vikings. What might be even better news is that Kendricks, who suffered a quad injury in Week 16 against the Packers, is expected to play in Sunday’s playoff game against the Saints in New Orleans.
