The Minnesota Vikings had some notable names on the injury report in Week 14, but in a good way. The team had recently designated two key starters to return from injured reserve, and on Wednesday, they were full participants in practice.
Long snapper Andrew DePaola and kicker Will Reichard were full participants in Wednesday’s practice. Tight end Josh Oliver, who had missed the last two games, was also a full participant.
Both DePaola and Reichard had been on injured reserve for various injuries and missed significant time. In their absence, the team had signed Jake McQuaide and John Parker Romo as fill-ins. In the case of Josh Oliver, we saw more reps for Nick Muse and Johnny Mundt in the Vikings’ offense.
Getting back these three players comes at a good time as the team ramps up preparation for their matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. We will be tracking their progress as the week goes on.
