With the Vikings reportedly releasing guard Josh Kline, and the offensive line still having room for improvement, many think the Vikings should take an offensive lineman in the early rounds of the draft.
However, in a recent mock draft done by CBS Sports, the outlet didn’t have the Vikings drafting an offensive lineman until the third round.
That’s when Minnesota chose Georgia guard Solomon Kindley. Here’s what CBS Sports said about the draft pick:
“The Josh Kline experiment ended as quickly as it started. Minnesota needs to grow stronger in the trenches.”
Sure, the Kline experiment might be over, but if that’s the case, then the team needs a replacement who can come in and be a starting-caliber guard. If that’s Kindley, great, then the team should take him. I just think the Vikings might want to prioritize offensive line a little earlier in the draft.
The team has two picks in the first round, and a second round pick. Minnesota has 12 draft picks in total.
