The Vikings acquired Yannick Ngakoue via trade just over two weeks ago.

When Danielle Hunter was placed on IR, it seemed like a silver lining that Minnesota still had Ifeadi Odenigbo and Ngakoue at defensive end.

But that position group struggled against Green Bay. The Vikings did not generate much of a pass rush, tallying zero sacks against the Packers and letting Green Bay march down the field with ease.

Despite his lack of time to get acclimated to the Vikings, Ngakoue didn’t let himself off the hook.

“You had guys who were at camp for four weeks, five weeks, whatever you may have it, and I just had four or five days to try and get ready. I’m the type of person that doesn’t make excuses, so at the same time it doesn’t matter if I only had one practice. I should be able to do more than I did and that’s how I feel,” Ngakoue told reporters, via Vikings.com.

Minnesota is going up against a stellar offensive line this week in Indianapolis. The Vikings have work to do, but at least Aaron Rodgers isn’t behind center on Sunday.
