With another sack in Week 16 against the Packers, Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter now has 14.5 on the season.
That marks matches his career high that he hit last season.
Hunter needs just a half sack to set a new career high, but that could be tricky considering the Week 17 game against the Bears doesn’t mean anything for the Vikings, who are already slotted in as the sixth seed in the NFC.
Hunter already has 54.5 career sacks. Earlier this season, he became the youngest player in NFL history to hit the 50-sack mark.
Hunter is tied for third in the league in sacks with Cameron Jordan. He trails Shaquil Barrett’s mark of 16.5 for second and Chandler Jones’ mark of 19 for first.
