Even after beating the Lions in Week 14, the Vikings are just a game ahead of the Rams for the final wild card spot in the NFC at 9-4.
Minnesota travels to Los Angeles to play the Chargers in Week 15. While the Vikings will probably be Vegas favorites and most will pick them to win, it’s not going to be an easy game for Minnesota.
The Chargers absolutely dominated the Jaguars on Sunday, 45-10. Los Angeles has underperformed this season and is just 5-8 on the season, but let’s not forget this is a team that beat the Packers a little more than a month ago.
The talent is there. Philip Rivers can still sling it down the field, and the one-two punch of Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler is no joke.
The Vikings have everything to play for, and even if the Chargers don’t, Minnesota needs to bring its A-game.
