Vikings’ Alexander Mattison fined for thrusting celebration

The NFL was slightly hypocritical in fining Mattison

The Minnesota Vikings have had some fun celebrations over the past few seasons, including this season when Harrison Smith bowled a strike with the rest of the defense acting as bowling pins.

While most of the celebrations have been clean, this past Sunday saw one that was borderline at best when Alexander Mattison pulled the injured leg celebration with some thrusting.

Mattison wasn’t expecting a fine for the celebration, but he was hit with one on Friday afternoon when the NFL fined him $6,503.

Mattison was obviously unhappy with the fine, as he should be. He took to Twitter quickly to show his displeasure.

Don’t be surprised if Mattson appeals the fine or accepts the remedial training course that teammate Dalvin Cook did to reduce his fine from week six.
